B Born and raised in Namibia as a descendant of German emigrants, EES moved to Germany in 2004 to broaden his musical horizons. EES has never lost sight of its roots, which is reflected in its lyrics, which are shaped by the different linguistic influences of German, English and Afrikaans.
He proudly combines the hip music genres Kwaito & amp; Afro-Pop and also masters house, reggae and hip-hop, which has already made him a star in Africa. For example, he won the MTV Africa Music Award and the MTV Listeners Choice Award, was named the best Kwaito artist in Africa at the Channel 0 Awards 2012 and received the “African Grammy” for the best album at the KORA Awards 2016.
W With his 13 albums and an established music label (YES-JA Music), he is open to his ambitions to make a name for himself in the music business and to bring Kwaito music to the world. In addition, his YouTube channel, on which he takes his viewers on his travels through Africa and Europe, is very popular.
In 2018 he delighted both viewers and jury of the X-Factor casting show and went with his ,, Yes-Ja! Band “with the single” Try, Try, Try “emerged as the winner of the season.
