The corona virus places the world in a state of emergency and presents society and everyone in everyday life with major, until recently unimaginable, challenges. The long-term consequences of the pandemic cannot yet be estimated. But it is already becoming clear that people who were in need of help even before the crisis are particularly hard hit.
In Germany and worldwide there is already a wave of solidarity with the aim of supporting those in need and helping them to get through this global crisis better. Those who do not necessarily have to leave the house (e.g. for professional reasons) help most when they stay at home. This also protects our helpers, who work intensively in different areas. With your donation you can support our helpers and rescuers in action!
For example, we support health authorities by providing staff and equipment to test people for the virus faster and more reliably. In this context, we look after test drive-in counters and distribute corona tests to drivers there. In addition, we now want to be there for older and needy people more than ever. In many cities and municipalities, our volunteers offer shopping aids or telephone visit services against loneliness, for example.
